FMX Academy 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The FMX Academy is back again to be ran in conjunction with the 2008 king of the coast competition held by Raceline Promotions, October 3rd.

The FMX Academy is the ONLY training platform for Freestyle MotoX in the country, and what better place to hold it than on the only Freestyle MX competition that happens year in year out. This will give the riders the opportunity to get adjusted to what they might find at a competition, or demonstration scene, and give riders a good idea of what to expect when they ride at home or friends' places.

In the FMX Academy we will run through Bike and Machine safety, bike control - both basic and control techniques for jumping, trick tips on how to progress tricks, track set up (on how to build a good downramp and upramps), Judging criteria and also the best tips on picking up sponsorships from the people that know all about it.

Date: Friday october 3rd and Early Saturday october 4th.
Cost: $195 inc GST - Min age of 14y/o
Parent/Guardian written consent for riders under 18 years
OR/

If you can bring a bike to ride, you are most welcome too, as apart of the time aside is for riding on the course with trick advice and bike control techniques given by the speakers. But if you do not have a bike, or can't get it to the event, don't worry because you are still very welcome to attend, and you may learn more by sitting out and watching the Pro's do the correct riding techniques.

If you are intending on riding during the FMX Academy, you still need to have acceptable safety gear. Approved Helmet and Boots,Long sleeves ( Shorts and bare arms are not accepted), Elbow pads are compulsory.

This was a great start at the last King of the Coast competition, and we will no doubt out-do ourselves for this FMX Academy this year. The entry forms will be available very soon, and I will repost in this thread so keep checking back for the updates! Any other enquiries, PM myself or email Ian at racelinepromo@yahoo.com
