  1. G'day man, welcome to the forum. Extra 13k premium for a type R is a crazy amount! If I was you I would start upgrading the suspension first. Coil overs, fresh suspension bushes and sub frame mounts, a decent clutch and LSD is what I would be looking at, For less money, a brass gear shifter bushing and a brake master cylinder stopper would also be definitely worthwhile in my opinion. Good luck with it man.
  2. Brake setup on S13

Next part I would buy would be a bmc stopper from GKtech. It's a excellent upgrade on any S-chassis. Get someone to pump the brake pedal while you watch just how much the firewall flexes and you'll get what I mean.
  3. The easiest way would to be look on Ebay for a S13 "dash cluster surround" that has all of the switches and blanking covers attached with it rather than trying to find just that particular blanking switch.
  4. Not sure what to do

I vote for just an engine swap. Way cheaper and less downtime, not to mention less hassles.
  5. How to get off data from Android?

The app called Smart Switch is the best one I have found to back up or transfer data from an old Android to a new one.
  6. Cheers Millerman that makes sense to me. I'll give it a crack on the weekend and see how I go. Much appreciated.
  7. Plenum hose installation

Check out the link for the S15 FSM (factory service manual) in the tech section.
  8. Ok here's a post that's not about xans or viagra.... On my S15 I installed a boss kit knowing that it didn't support leaving the clock spring in place (which is what every horn wiring kit seems to use) Regardless it's the one I wanted and will make work eventually with a working horn. My questions are, does anyone know how I can or should re-wire the horn switch? I don't care if I have to run a wire from the ecu to the horn button but I don't know where I should be looking to find the horn signal wire? Anyone still on NS? Any positive feedback without drug sales pitches would be rad.
  9. Not sure if this helps but I've got a S15 (200sx) and when I got my Nistune fitted I was informed that the factory NATS security has to be deleted from the ecu.
  10. the Black Engine Bay Masters!

Nice fitment with the Z32 afm on the factory airbox. Is the egr working?

  12. Fan noise after thick radiator install

I would double check the clutch fan is mounted properly if you removed it when installing the new radiator. The water temps would be running low because the combination of the oversized radiator and Nismo thermostat. Personally I think the Nismo ones aren't needed.
  13. S15, S14, Stagea RS4 and 300zx sock rims will all clear the rear caliper. I had the same setup on my old 180sx and all of those rims cleared.
  14. Cheers Pmod, handy to know about not removing the abs ecu.
  15. You should do a dry and then wet compression test to get a better idea of the health of the engine.
