Stereotypical driver busted for speeding...

Recommended Posts

Male, in the 18-25 age group, driving a high powered sports car... fits the stereotype that the media have of hoon drivers doesn't he ?

At that speed, he knows full well that he's over the speed limit.

And that is why I'm so glad I drive a 4 door... no stigma attached - YET !

Teen caught driving 120km/h over limit

June 03, 2007 07:28am

Article from: AAP

AN 18-year-old man has been caught driving at 200km/h in an 80km/h zone in Melbourne's south-east.

Victoria Police impounded the man's vehicle after he was detected weaving in and out of traffic along Wellington Road in Clayton at 12.45am (AEST) today.

The Dandenong North man, who was travelling with his girlfriend, told officers from the Monash Traffic Management Unit he was tired and didn't realise what speed he was doing, police said.

The man's 1993 Nissan Skyline GTR was impounded and will be held by police for 48 hours.

He is expected to face charges including conduct endangering life, dangerous speed and other driving offences.

I wonder if his gf yelled at him for weaving in and out of traffic at these speeds...

I know I'd absolutely go ballistic if my partner was driving at such a ridiculous speed ! :cursing:

I don't care if it's a GTS-T or a GTR... the fact is he was 120km/hr over the damn speed limit... no excuses... especially if he was tired. Imagine him weaving in and out and misjudging... SMACK... minimum chance of survival for himself and his gf... and anyone else he hits as well.

i'd say the impound is only part of the punishment.

gotta hand it to him though, i mean, when im tired, i usually drive slow and just sit in the middle of traffic. to be able to still go an insane speed and weave through traffic must take some skills!... <_>

pretty sure it will go against the driver...i mean its not like a car can accelerate to 200km/h on its own...needs the right foot of a driver

so thus being the drivers fault and going against his/her/its record

Stupid idiot doing that speed on a public road during the day, suck shit you loser, hope you cop everything you deserve. But it begs the question--> which 18 year olds parents are stupid enough to let him own a GTR?! (well, at least u know where u got that streak from ay)

Impound goes against the CAR. Beware of lending your ham-fisted torana-driving mate your pride n joy.
